Пособие содержит сведения по фармакокинетике современных видов инсулина, схемам их введения, проблемам инсулинотерапии и путям их решения. Особое внимание уделено наиболее современным и эффективным средствам лечения СД ? инсулиновым аналогам быстрого и пролонгированного действия, а также инсулиновым помпам. Подготовленный консенсус отражает современные взгляды на терапию СД у детей и подростков.
