Открытие и внедрение новых гипогликемизирующих препаратов,таких как ингибиторы дипептидилпептидазы-4 (ДПП-4), обеспечивают возможность дальнейшего улучшения гликемического кон-троля. В обзоре собраны данные о механизмах действия, эффективности, безопасности применения ингибиторов ДПП-4 (на примереситаглиптина) при лечении СД2, а также данные об их потенциальном влиянии на сердечно-сосудистую систему.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a disease in which traditional therapeutic strategies, such as optimization of the lifestyle, intake of metformin and sulfonylureasor glitazone prove secondarily inefficient in the short run. The discovery and use of new hypoglycemic agents, e.g. DPP-4 inhibitors, openup opportunities for the further improvement of glycemic control.
