Пред-ставлены результаты исследования ADVANCE, подтверждающие роль интенсивного контроля гликемии в снижении общего риска диа-бетических осложнений, а также в положительной тенденции к снижению риска сердечно-сосудистой смерти.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The paper deals with the main aspects of pathogenesis of cardiovascular diseases in patients with disturbed carbohydrate metabolism.
