Основным проявлением этой болезни является двусторонняя пневмония, часто сопровождающаяся развитием острого респираторного синдрома и дыхательной недостаточностью. Пациенты с сахарным диабетом (СД) входят в категорию высокого риска инфицирования вирусом SARS-COV-2, тяжелого течения болезни и смертельного исхода. Поддержание целевого уровня гликемии является важнейшим фактором благоприятного исхода COVID-19 как при СД 1 типа, так и при СД 2 типа. Выбор антигипергликемической терапии у пациента с СД в остром периоде COVID-19 зависит от исходной терапии, выраженности гипергликемии, тяжести течения вирусной инфекции, клинического состояния пациента.</p><p>В статье представлены рекомендации совета экспертов Российской ассоциации эндокринологов по вопросам контроля гликемии и выбора антигипергликемической терапии у пациентов с СД 2 типа и COVID-19, а также при применении глюкокортикостероидов, используемых в лечении COVID-19 у пациентов с СД 2 типа.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>A dangerous viral disease COVID-19, caused by a new RNA coronavirus SARS-COV-2, has been actively spreading in the world since December 2019. The main manifestations of this disease are bilateral pneumonia, often accompanied by the development of acute respiratory syndrome and respiratory failure. Patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) are at high risk of infection with the SARS-COV-2 virus, severe illness and death.</p><p>Maintaining of target glycemic levels is the most important factor in a favorable outcome of COVID-19 in both type 1 and type 2 DM.
